We can’t have a book project without books! Find out how to collect books and how to ship them to us in Belize.

Anyone:

Sponsor a Book Gift Bag for a Newborn

We are working with local hospitals in Belize to distribute book gift bags to moms of newborns in the maternity ward.

For only US$10 you can sponsor a gift bag with baby board books, parent reading tips, and other goodies for newborn babies and their moms.

Resorts & Hotels and Visitors to Belize:

Join the "Books in Bags" Program

Invite your hotel guests to bring a few children’s books in their luggage and we’ll make sure they find a good home. Find out how to join and how it works.

Anyone:

Donate Funds

Funding is needed to run events, ship books, buy books, travel, and for other project supplies.

If you can’t send books, there are wholesalers we can buy from on your behalf. 100 children’s books is approx US$95, 1,000 books is approx Us$700. Basically about 70¢ to $1 per book to purchase and ship them to Belize.

Young people & Groups in Belmopan, Belize:

Help sort and label books for distribution

Groups and individuals are needed to help unbox and prepare books for events and distribution. Local classes, groups, scouts and other young people are encouraged to assist. The time spent can be used for school service hour requirements. Contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

Anyone in Belmopan, Belize:

Place books in our Book Houses

There are now little “Book Houses” around Belmopan. Place any books you are not using anymore in these boxes for others to enjoy!

Organizations or businesses:

We rely on the business community and other organizations to do as many projects as possible. Let us know if you would like to join us in some way (food, accommodations, supplies, printing, shipping, transportation, t-shirts, etc etc)
